The GRC has four wards: Chua Chu Kang, Bukit Gombak, Keat Hong and Brickland.

Only the a small portion of the constituency is residential, with most of its area consisting of the Western Water Catchment.

The current Members of Parliament are Don Wee, Gan Kim Yong, Low Yen Ling and Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim from the People's Action Party (PAP).

In 2020, the rest of Tengah were moved from Chua Chu Kang GRC to Hong Kah North SMC.

Most of the residential portions of Nanyang were shifted to West Coast GRC, while the less populated areas were allocated to Keat Hong ward.
