Ciarán Ahern

Ciarán Ahern (born September 1984) is an Irish Labour Party politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-West constituency since the 2024 general election.

[2][3] Ahern was a member of South Dublin County Council from June to November 2024 for the Rathfarnham–Templeogue area.

He went on to graduate with a double Bachelor of Law and Business from University College Dublin in 2007 and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Policy, Human Rights, Criminology, and Corporate Crime from the London School of Economics Law School in 2009.

[5] Ahern married fellow lawyer Maeve O'Rourke in January 2020.

[6][7] Ahern had to postpone their honeymoon in order to stand as a Labour candidate at the 2020 general election, which took place that February.
