Clément Mouamba (13 November 1943[2] – 29 October 2021)[1] was a Congolese politician who was Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo from 2016 until 2021.

[6] Mouamba was one of several top officials who served under Lissouba to face corruption charges in connection with the misappropriation of funds from selling oil, far below market value, to Occidental Petroleum in 1993.

The referendum, which UPADS opposed, allowed President Denis Sassou Nguesso to run for another term in the March 2016 presidential election.

[5][6] Mouamba was designated as the candidate of the ruling Congolese Labour Party (PCT) in the town of Sibiti for the July 2017 parliamentary election, taking the place of Thierry Moungalla, the Minister of Communications.

[11] Following the election, in which the PCT won a parliamentary majority, Mouamba submitted the pro forma resignation of his government on 16 August.
