[2] She ran for municipal president of Huixquilucan in 2009, but lost to Alfredo del Mazo Maza of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

[5] In the 2024 general election she was re-elected to Congress for the State of Mexico's 18th district on the PVEM ticket, in a contest in which she narrowly beat the PAN-PRI-PRD coalition's candidate, 2012 presidential contender Josefina Vázquez Mota.
