Claudia van Zanten (born 30 December 1978) is a Dutch politician representing the Farmer–Citizen Movement.
[1] She became her party's spokesperson for education, culture, and science, and her portfolio was expanded to include asylum, migration, social affairs, employment, antisemitism, justice, and security following the swearing in of the Schoof cabinet.
[2] Van Zanten is on the committee carrying out the parliamentary inquiry into the Dutch response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which commenced in February 2024.
[3] She asked parliamentary questions about the journalistic integrity and neutrality of coverage of the Israel–Hamas war by public broadcaster NOS after it had described Secretary-General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah as being considered a charismatic and competent leader among his supporters.
