The racial makeup of the township was 98.17% White, 0.44% African American, 0.37% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.15% from other races, and 0.58% from two or more races.

There were 479 households, out of which 38.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.4% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.9% were non-families.
