In June 2019, the ground hosted the County Championship fixture between Yorkshire and Warwickshire.

It had been 129 years since the last first-class cricket match had been staged in York.

The game attracted a crowd of over 8,000 people, spread over four rain affected days.

In August 2021, the ground hosted two of Yorkshire's 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup matches between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire.
