Coagh United clinched the third-tier championship of Northern Irish football, which is now known as the NIFL Premier Intermediate League, in the 2003–04 season.

They were crowned champions of the third-tier for a second time in the 2011–12 season after an intense title race with Dundela and Knockbreda F.C..

The club would make their return for the 2023/24 season following a play-off win against Mid-Ulster Football League champions Oxford Sunnyside.

In the 2022–23 season, Coagh United emerged as the champions of the Ballymena & Provincial Football League.
