Quebec College of Physicians

Originally incorporated in 1847, it was then called the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Lower Canada, and established its own regulations for the study and practice of medicine.

Dr. Mauril Gaudreault was elected for a first four-year term on 19 October 2018,[2] replacing Dr. Charles Bernard who had been the President and chief executive officer since 2010.

The directors, employees, and mandataries of the CMQ have adopted Ethical principles that they undertake to comply with in order to fulfill the mission.

All this information is presented together in the CMQ's Statement of services for citizens, which reaffirms its commitments to the public, future physicians, and its members.

In order to fulfill the various mandates incumbent upon it and arising from its mission, the CMQ regularly develops or revises regulations intended to ensure the practice of medicine in Quebec.
