Passage of the referendum resulted in the College Board of Regents becoming Article XIII in the Constitution of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
[4] The college is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, and was designated as a 1994 Land-Grant institution in the 2014 Farm Bill.
[5] CMN was granted Initial Accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission in November 2016.
The CMN's governance consists of a five-member board of regents of Muscogee citizens who meet monthly.
[7] Board members are nominated by the Principal Chief and approved by the National Council.
