The event was held at Whitworth Hall, part of the University of Manchester from 15 until 20 July 2002.
[citation needed] The second Commonwealth Nations Bridge Championship was held in Murrumbeena, Victoria near Melbourne on 7–12 March 2006.
The accompanying Transnational Swiss Teams was won by the Scottish President's team, who beat Canada in the final and were represented by Sandy Duncan, Irving Gordon, Derek Sanders, Stephen Peterkin, Liz McGowan and Sam Punch.
