Cornufer vogti

[1] The specific name vogti honours Theodor Vogt (1881–1932), a German naturalist.

Thus a replacement name Rana vogti was created by Heini Hediger in 1934.

[2] Discodeles vogti inhabit streams in tropical lowland rain forests, but they can also been found in suburban areas, rural gardens, and other degraded habitats, albeit at lower densities than in mature forests.

The species breeds by direct development and lays its eggs on the ground.

It is relatively common, but threatened by habitat loss caused by logging.
