The Coronado Color Guard marches alongside the Coronado Cougar Pride Marching Band during the fall and participates in the WGASC (Winter Guard Association of Southern California) for Indoor Season from December to April.

The same year, they became the first team in Nevada to compete in the National Academic Quiz Tournaments' High School Championships.

[3] The Coronado Theatre Department puts on two mainstage productions per year: a fall play and a spring musical.

The department features six official groups, including Madrigals, Bella Voce, Glee Club, Concert Choir, and a men's and women's barbershop.

[5] The boys team won the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association state championship in 2004, 2005, 2010, and 2015.

The band has traveled to San Diego, California, and London, England to march in the New Year's Day Parade, to Washington D.C. to perform in the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Independence Day Parade, and to Dublin, Ireland, for the St. Patrick's Day parade, and to Cleveland, Ohio, to perform at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
