According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.41 square miles (3.65 km2), all land.

18.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 3.2% of families and 4.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.2% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.

Cross Timber is served by the Burleson and Joshua Independent School Districts.
