Cushing is a village in Howard County, Nebraska, United States.
It is part of the Grand Island, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Cushing was established in 1887 when the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad was extended to that point.

28.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
There were 50.0% of families and 60.5% of the population living below the poverty line, including 83.3% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
