Cyclostrema

1727 Cyclostrema is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Liotiidae.

[1] Cyclostrema is a neuter word, but many authors have considered it feminine, including Captain Marryat himself.

Many species, now included in Cyclostrema, will eventually end up outside the family Liotiidae.

The characteristics of this genus are: The depressed shell is white, or uniformly colored.

The umbilicus is very large with the volutions of the whorls visible within it.
