Dägerlen

Dägerlen is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.

It was held by a ministerialis or unfree knight in service of the Counts of Kyburg.

Of this area, 66.9% is used for agricultural purposes, 25.2% is forested, 7.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.5%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

As of 2007[update] 4% of the total municipal area was undergoing some type of construction.

[5] The municipality is located on the edge of the Zürcher Weinland south of the Thur river.

It includes the settlements of Dägerlen, Oberwil, Rutschwil, Berg and Bänk.
