D. Arthur Kelsey

Denham Arthur Kelsey (born October 9, 1961) is an American lawyer and justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia.

[3] He graduated magna cum laude from Old Dominion University in 1982 and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary Law School in 1985, as a member of the Order of the Coif.

The General Assembly unanimously elected Kelsey to the Supreme Court on January 20, 2015, for a twelve-year term beginning the following February 1.

He also serves on the Steering Committee of the Boyd-Graves Conference, a similar organization that focuses specifically on Virginia law.
