[1] Plowden played primarily as a forward and center in high school;[2] he credits his team's coaches, Terrence Cook and Gerald Johnson, for teaching him combined big man and guard skills.
[3] On November 9, 2016, Plowden signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Bowling Green Falcons.
[6] Plowden worked out with the Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz prior to the 2022 NBA draft but went undrafted.
[15] On July 16, 2024, Plowden signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors,[16] but was waived on September 24.
[19] Eight days later, he joined the College Park Skyhawks[20] and on December 27, he signed a two-way contract with the Hawks.
