Dan Mofokeng

Dan Mofokeng (27 January 1960 – 28 April 2022) was a South African politician and businessman who was Gauteng's inaugural Member of the Executive Council for Housing from 1994 to 1999.

[1] After attending the University of the North at Turfloop,[1] Mofokeng rose to prominence during apartheid as a regional leader of the South African National Civic Organisation.

[4] Mofokeng's tenure in the Housing portfolio was controversial and the ANC dropped him from its party list in the 1999 general election.

[3] In March 2011, he and three others were arrested by the Hawks during a police investigation into the alleged abuse of the state-sponsored AgriBEE fund.

Jacqueline alleged that she had a protection order against him at the time, which she said he had contravened by storming into the house and physically assaulting her.
