Daniel Duncan McKenzie, PC KC (January 8, 1859 – June 8, 1927) was a Canadian lawyer, judge, and politician.
Born in Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the son of Duncan and Jessie (McMillan) McKenzie, McKenzie was educated at the Public Schools and at the Sydney Academy.
[1] He became interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada in 1919, following the death of former Canadian Prime minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier on February 17, 1919.
[1] In 1923, he resigned his seat in the House of Commons after he was named a puisne judge in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.
McKenzie served on the bench until his death at the age of 68 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
