Daniel A. Levinthal (born in 1957) is a Reginald H. Jones Professor of Corporate Strategy at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
[1][2] His pioneering work on organizational learning, complex systems, and innovation as search process have advanced understanding of organizational and industry evolution and received numerous international awards.
[7][10] Both titles are awarded to a scholar who have made significant contributions to the theory and practice of management.
[11][12] Levinthal's research centers on the topics of industry evolution, organizational learning, and technological revolution.
He also served as Editor-in-chief of Organization Science between 2010 and 2013 and as an Editor of Industrial and Corporate Change from 2010 to 2015.
