Daocheng Yading Airport (IATA: DCY, ICAO: ZUDC) is an airport serving Daocheng County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan province, China.
[3] At 4,411 m (14,472 ft) above sea level, Daocheng Yading is the highest civilian airport in the world.
Construction started after the airport was approved in April 2011, with a total investment of 1.58 billion yuan (US$255 million).
[2] The opening of the airport cut the journey time between Daocheng and Chengdu to one hour, which previously required a two-day bus trip.
It has a 5,000 m2 (54,000 sq ft) terminal building that is shaped like a flying saucer with two aerobridges.
