Darul Ihsan University

It was founded by late Syed Ali Ashraf in 1989.

[1] The Education Ministry shut down the university on 26 July 2016 for illegally operating numerous branch campuses and for selling higher degree certificates.

[2][3][4] An undercover team of ETV, a Bangladeshi television channel, was able to purchase certificates with 40,000 taka.

[7] The authorities of the university were divided in four separate groups and running their activities form different campuses.

As of August 2017, the university was functioning under a stay order from the court.
