Dascălu is a commune in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania.

It is composed of four villages: Creața, Dascălu, Gagu and Runcu.

Its name is derived from an obsolete Romanian word for "teacher".

The Mostiștea river has its source in Gagu village.
