It is a four-lane expressway with a maximum speed of 100 km/h,[1] roughly paralleling National Road 20.
The road is expected to be a strong stimulus for the development of Vietnam's Central Highlands region.
[1] Construction of the 59.6 km long section between Dau Giay and Tan Phu is scheduled to begin in 2020 with a total investment of 7,000 billion VND.
[3] The Tan Phu-Bao Loc section is planned at a development cost of 17,000 billion VND.
The 19.2 km long section between Lien Khuong Airport and Pass Prenn near Da Lat was completed in 2008.
