Davey Hiott

David Rudolph Hiott (born October 20, 1960) is a former American politician.

[1] Hiott has served as Chairman of the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee.

[6][7][8] Hiott is the majority leader of the Republican party, elected in 2022[2][9] and re-elected in 2024.

He attended Anderson Junior College (now Anderson University) for a year before transferring to Central Wesleyan College (now Southern Wesleyan University), and graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business.

[11][12] He is married to Lisa Clamp Hiott, with whom he has two children: Lander and Sally.
