David A. Levy

Levy (born December 18, 1953) is an American Republican politician, lawyer and former member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.

Before serving as a representative, Levy was a lawyer, utility company executive, and member of the Hempstead Town Council from 1989 to 1993.

He sought his party's renomination in 1994, but it instead went to a more conservative challenger, Dan Frisa,[1] who went on to win election but was defeated after one term by Democrat Carolyn McCarthy.

He served as counsel to the town supervisor of Hempstead from 1995 to 2017.
