David Pereira da Costa (born 5 January 2001) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers.

Born in Portugal as one of six children, Costa moved to France at the age of 9.

[1] On 10 January 2019, Costa signed his first professional contract with Lens.

[2] He made his professional debut in a 2–0 Ligue 1 win over Saint-Étienne on 3 October 2020.

[4] On 17 February 2025, Costa made the move to Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers on a four-year deal for a reported fee of $6 million.
