He won the bronze medal in the 800 metres track and field race at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris.
[3] Hall attended Brown University, where he became a champion runner and was the captain of the track and field team from 1899 to 1901.
[4][5] After graduating from Brown, Hall became the basketball coach at the University of Oklahoma supervise men's athletics at school.

[10] He served as the head track and field coach at Washington from 1909 to 1910 and 1912 to 1914.
