[4] In 1968, the college's administrative structure was reformed into an independent District Board of Trustees.

The campus includes the Southeast Museum of Photography, the Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality and Culinary Management, and a partnership center with the University of Central Florida.

[6] Additional campuses include the Advanced Technology Center and the News-Journal Center in Daytona Beach, and regional campuses in DeLand, Deltona, New Smyrna Beach, and Palm Coast.

[5] DSC offers over 100 programs, including certificates, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees in fields such as healthcare, emergency services, business, education, hospitality, engineering, and technology.

The college provides both on-campus and online programs through its distance learning platform.
