Debbie Drechsler (born 1953) is an American illustrator and comic book creator.
Her semi-autobiographical graphic novel about incest, Daddy's Girl (1996), was nominated for an Ignatz Award.
She was originally encouraged to draw comics by fellow cartoonists Richard Sala and Michael Dougan.
Her work later appeared in the Kitchen Sink Press anthology Twisted Sisters, edited by Diane Noomin.
Inspired by Wimmen's Comix, Peanuts, and Mad Magazine,[1] it was also partly based on Drechsler's own experiences dealing with typical teenage emotions such as alienation, confusion, and anger.
