Deesen is an Ortsgemeinde – a community belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde – in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The community lies in the Westerwald between Koblenz and Siegen on the edge of the Rhein-Westerwald Nature Park.
In 1218, Deesen had its first documentary mention as Desene when Burgrave Heinrich von Isenburg donated a Lichterzins to the Rommersdorf Abbey.
The customs house and lordly inn in Deesen's municipal area is mentioned in 1667 and 1723.
The nearest InterCityExpress stop is the railway station at Montabaur on the Cologne-Frankfurt high-speed rail line, which runs straight through the community.
