DeMotte, Indiana

DeMotte is a town in Keener Township, Jasper County, Indiana, United States.

DeMotte was made a station by the New York Central Railroad when the line was extended to that point in the early 1880s.

[5] DeMotte was named for Mark L. De Motte, a member of Congress at the time.

[6] According to the 2010 census, De Motte has a total area of 3.61 square miles (9.35 km2), all land.

Many area businesses have vendor tents set up in downtown DeMotte for people to visit.
