The Miss Slovensko contest was formed in 1993 after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia.
In 2023 the main owner decided to stop joining Miss Universe Organization.
The winner is expected to compete in the Miss Universe competition.
Later that year Silvia Lakatošová announced the end of Miss Universe Slovakia and her departure.
