Dennis Smith (born July 27, 1964) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman.
He played 8 games in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals and Los Angeles Kings during the 1989–90 and 1990–91 seasons.
The rest of his career, which lasted from 1984 to 1997, was mainly spent in the minor leagues.
