The greater Derby area was inhabited by the indigenous North East nation for over 10,000 years prior to the British colonisation of Tasmania.
Constructed by George Albert Rodman, a resident of Derby since the early 1900s, the hall was built for £1,200, with an additional £300 allocated for furniture.
