Derrick Jensen (American football)

He played college football for the Texas–Arlington Mavericks and was selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 1978 NFL draft.

Osawatomie won its first state football championship in 1966 led by future Green Bay Packers quarterback Lynn Dickey.

He added 44 receptions and three scores and returned an onside kick 33 yards for a touchdown against the New York Giants in 1980.

[citation needed] After he retired from the NFL, Jensen served as a scout for the Seattle Seahawks for 22 season, from 1991 through 2012.

He died of complications from the disease on April 7, 2017, at his home in Panama City Beach, Florida.
