Diana Wynne Jones (16 August 1934 – 26 March 2011) was a British writer of fantasy novels for children and adults.
The Chrestomanci fantasy series is made up of six novels and four short stories.

The novels were also published as a three-volume series called Chronicles of Chrestomanci: These short stories were not published as separate volumes, and not included in any collections entirely written by Jones (the next section).
