Dick Crippen is a former sports and weatherman anchor in the Tampa Bay, Florida, television market.
Crippen began his career at ABC affiliate (Now CBS) WLCY-TV Channel 10 in 1965 as one of the station's first on-air personalities.
[1] Crippen has done play-by-play work on the Water Channel's American Powerboat Television, ESPN's coverage of Unlimited Hydroplane Circuit, as well as NASCAR's Motor Racing Network.
Crippen now works in community development and as senior advisor for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team.
He is a popular host of many local events, including athletic ceremonies at the University of South Florida.
