[6] Between 1952 and 1972, Evans was an assistant coach in the NFL, with the Cardinals in 1952, the Washington Redskins from 1955 to 1958, the Cleveland Browns from 1960 to 1963, the Philadelphia Eagles from 1964 to 1968, the Green Bay Packers in 1970, and the New England Patriots from 1971 to 1972.
