Dieter Riedel (born 16 September 1947) is a German former football player and coach.
Riedel, a strong dribbler standing only 1.70 m tall, began his career with BSG Stahl Gröditz.
On 20 September 1967, Riedel scored his team's first goal in the Europacup, from a distance of 20 meters against the Glasgow Rangers in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.
Up to 1978, Riedel played in four international matches for East Germany national football team.
He is at present a coach of BSC Freiberg and works in a middle school in Dresden as a sports teacher.
