[2] Archaeological excavations at Dinas Dinlle in 2019 and 2022 found the remains of structures inside the hillfort.
[4] The survey with ground-penetrating radar found several round houses and yards connected to the entrance by cobbled roadways.
A groyne was built in 1994 to alleviate the problem; by 2013 it was thought to have made the situation worse.
[7] There is a small modern settlement immediately north of the hillfort, historically, part of Caernarfonshire.
During the Second World War this was an RAF base but now it is mainly used for flying lessons, pleasure flights, and the Air Ambulance.
