Dallas’s mother, Linda, becomes enraged by the words of Ava’s father Clarence, the town preacher.

After a heated argument between Ava’s parents and Linda, she orders her remaining four Bertran boys to remove her dead son from his casket and take him back home.

She falls asleep in her car waiting for Dallas, Linda wakes her up and tells her he left and to get off her property.

The bar owner tells the boys to leave, and after a scuffle, Ava gets the keys from Dallas and they head home.

The next day on the way to work, Rona is asking Ava why she chooses to stay with Dallas when he treats her so horribly.

That night, Dallas leaves Ava at home for taking to long to get ready for dinner with their friends.

Rona takes a devastated Ava home and while comforting her, she gives her a list she made of every horrible thing Dallas has done to her over the course of their marriage.

Ava asks Benji to make love, even though he wants to, he tells her they should wait until she is no longer upset about Dallas.

Back at work, Ava and Rona talk about how better she feels and is thankful for her and her parents for helping her.

Benji accidentally tells Clarence that Dallas was in Ava‘s house this morning and he leaves to drive to Atlanta.

Benji calls Ava to see how she’s doing, asks to see her that night and gives her a heads up that her father is coming.

Clarence replaced the locks and put up cameras at Ava’s house and gives her guns to protect herself.

Gene panics and calls Ava and tells her to hurry up and get down there because she’s terrified that the boys are gonna kill Clarence.

Ava takes off in Benjis truck and calls Dallas to taunt him into coming back to the house.
