He competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in the men's team sabre event.
[1] From Yeongcheon, he attended Osung Middle School [ko] and then Osung High School [ko], where he competed in sabre fencing under coach Lee Seung-yong, who participated at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
