Dolný Kubín (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈdɔlniː ˈkubiːn] ⓘ; also known by other names) is a town in northern Slovakia in the Žilina Region.

The name is derived from the archaic Slovak word klubin meaning a "glade covered by smoke after burnt roots".
