"Don't Mug Yourself" is a song by English rapper and producer Mike Skinner under the music project the Streets.
It was released in October 2002 as the fourth and final single from their debut studio album, Original Pirate Material.
Skinner told NME how the song was created: "I left it really late – the night before I was supposed to be cutting it, I still hadn’t recorded it," he said.
So I went out to watch a film (Monsoon Wedding) and Calvin came along with a bottle of rum.
We drank the bottle in the cinema, then went to a bar and ended up getting really, really smashed.
