Douglas Wade Herndon[3] (born 1964)[4] is an American lawyer who has served as a justice of the Nevada Supreme Court since 2021.
From 1996 to 2005 he served as chief deputy district attorney in the Special Victims Unit.
[7] From 2017 to 2021, Herndon was chief presiding criminal judge of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas.
[8] On November 20, 2019, Herndon announced his candidacy for the Nevada Supreme Court for 2020.
[9] On November 3, 2020, he was elected to be a justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, defeating his Democratic opponent Nevada Assemblyman Ozzie Fumo.
