Driving licence in Ukraine

Ukrainian driving licences (Ukrainian: Водійське посвідчення or officially посвідчення водія на право керування транспортним засобом відповідної категорії[1][2]) are the official documents which authorize their respective holders to operate various types of motor vehicle on public roads.

[6] In February 2021, Verkhovna Rada equated digital driver's licences in Diia with paper analogues.

It established the recognition of Ukrainian driving licences in the European Union when the holder enjoys temporary protection.

[8] The Ukrainian driver's licenee process, particularly for Class B (passenger cars), involves a series of steps and training requirements, although it differs from the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) system found in Canadian provinces like Alberta.

In Ukraine, the process for obtaining a driver's licenee includes both theoretical and practical training at a driving school, followed by exams at a service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
