Dryden Township, Michigan

Dryden Township is a civil township in Lapeer County in the U.S. state of Michigan, named in honor of the literary critic, John Dryden.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 4,624 people, 1,586 households, and 1,322 families residing in the township.

There were 1,673 housing units at an average density of 46.6 per square mile (18.0/km2).

There were 1,586 households, out of which 39.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.5% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.6% were non-families.

13.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
